Abstract

In this research, the writer purposes to analyze the struggle of the main character in the novel Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El-Saadawi. The analysis uses objective approach. The technic used by writer is close reading. The reseach founds to some findings about the main character’s traits and the struggle of the main character. The main character is Firdaus. The character of Firdaus has traits as naive, vulnerable, studious, submissive, selective, brave, and tough. Some of the traits of Firdaus make her gets abusive from her family and unknown persons. Firdaus struggles for searching of protection, looking for a job, and she kills someone to survive. The struggles are impotant as the way of Firdaus to out from abusive.
