Abstract

PENGARUH PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI, UPAH MINIMUM PROVINSI, TINGKAT KEMISKINAN DAN PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP PENGANGGURAN DI SUMATERA BARAT Burhanudin Saputra, Erni Febrina Harahap1, Nurul Huda2 Jurusan Ekonomi Pembangunan, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Bunghatta Email : Saputraburhanudin@yahoo.com, Erni_fh@yahoo.co.id, Nurulhuda114@yahoo.com ABSTRACT One of the goals of economic development is to overcome unemployment, many factors can cause unemployment. This study aims to examine the effect of economic growth, provincial minimum wages, poverty levels and education on unemployment in West Sumatra. This study uses secondary data in the form of data panels, which is a combination of cross section and time series data covering 19 regencies / cities in West Sumatra, with a series of 7-year data from 2010 to 2016 with a total of 133 sourced from the Central Statistics Agency West Sumatra. While the data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using program packages Eviews 8. The results of this study indicate: 1) economic growth has a negative and insignificant effect on unemployment, 2) provincial minimum wages have a negative and significant effect on unemployment, 3) poverty level has a positive and significant effect on unemployment, 4) education has a negative and significant effect on unemployment Keywords: Unemployment, economic growth, Provincial Minimum Wage, poverty level, education
