Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning facilities such as the absence ofworksheets and modules, the teaching materials used are only in the form of textbooksso that students often feel bored, and the methods used by the teacher in the learningprocess are still conventional. The purpose of this research is to develop a scientific-based Indonesian learning module on advertising material for fifth grade students ofSDN 20 Talawi, Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, so that students aremotivated to be more enthusiastic in reading, asking and discussing. This type ofresearch is a research development or Research and Development (R & D) proposed byTrianto with a 4D procedural model, which consists of the define, design anddevelopment stages, due to limited time and ability. : 1) the research only reached thedevelopment phase (3D), 2) The validity questionnaire validator was carried out by 3expert lecturers, 3) the practicality test was carried out by teachers and students ofgrade V SD, and 4) the effectiveness test was carried out by grade V SD students. Theresults showed that the resulting module was categorized as very valid by the validatorwith an average value (91.55) in terms of the feasibility of content (92.5), presentationand display aspects (86.15), and language aspects (96). The results of the research onthe effectiveness test were categorized as effective (100%) because the student testresults were more than the KKM, namely 75%. The resulting module is categorized asvery practical by the teacher with an average percentage (98.33%). And categorized asvery practical by students with an average (97.39%). From the results of the study itwas concluded that the scientific-based Indonesian learning module for grade V SDN20 Talawi students was declared very valid, practical, and effective to be used in theIndonesian language learning process for grade V students.
