Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empirispengaruh good corporate governance yang terdiri dari kepemilikan institusional, kepemilikan manajerial, jumlah dewan direksi,jumlah dewan komisaris independen dan firm size terhadap financial distress.Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2013 –2017 dengan metode penarikan sampel menggunakanpurposive sampling. Jumlah sampel akhir yang layak untuk diobservasi yaitu 101 perusahaan dengan total sampel sebanyak 505 sampel. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi logistik dengan bantuan program SPSS.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabel kepemilikan institusional dan jumlah dewan komisaris independen memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap financial distress. Untuk variabel jumlah dewan direksi dan ukuran perusahaan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap financial distress. Tetapi variabel kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress.Kata kunci: good corporate governance, firm size, financial distress.
