Abstract
ANALYSIS OF GROWHT AND ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF SAWAHLUNTO By: Aulia Irfa Dessy ABSTRACT Research conducted in Sawahlunto has the objective to identify and analyze economic growh,the base and non-base sectors, and to identify a potencial sector in Sawahlunto. The data used are time series data including Sawahlunto GDP between 2004 and 2013, wich will be analyzed by using the two analysis tools namely Location Quetion (LQ) and Typology Classen. LQ analysis result show that mining and quarrying, services sector, construction sector, finance sector and manufacturing industries. The results of the tipology classen showed that Sawahlunto as advanced areas bu depressed. Finally, the findings of this study the authors suggested the government to help industry players UKM, to be able to compete and produce a superior product quality.
