Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF PALM OIL PLANTATION AGAINST REGIONAL ECONOMYIN WEST PASAMAN REGENCY Mailisa Sonya Mesra, Evi Susanti Tasri 1, Firdaus Sy2 Economic Development, Faculty of Economic, Bung Hatta University Email : mailisasonyamesra13@gmail.com, evi.susanti74@yahoo.com, firdaus@bunghatta.ac.id ABSTRACT This research aims to prove how oil palm production, the area of oil palm and the price of palm oil have an impact before and after the existence of oil palm plantations in the western pasaman district. The number of samples taken was 92 oil palm farmers. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression and McNemar Test. The results of the Multiple Linear Regression research show that oil palm production and oil palm area significantly influence the GRDP of West Pasaman Regency, while the price of palm oil is not significant to the GRDP of West Pasaman Regency. While the results of McNemar's research show that household economic conditions, various livelihoods and income have an impact on the economy.
