Abstract

Kata Kunci: Tabel Input-Output pengganda, Sektor Industri, Keterkaitan, Sektor Unggulan This study aims to determine the leading sectors and the role of the economic sector, including how the linkages of each of these sectors affect the economy in West Sumatra. This study uses data from the West Sumatra Input Output Table according to the Output Multiplier Table I-O West Sumatra 52 sectors which are aggregated into 16 sectors. The method of analysis is carried out using input-output models whose calculations are assisted by using the Microsoft Excel program. From the research, it was found that the leading industrial sectors of West Sumatra were the Food and Beverage Industry (I-13), the Textile and Apparel Industry (I-15), the Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Products (I-20), the Mineral and Non-Other Products Industry. Metal (I-21). Then the forward sub-sector analysis gets results where there are five (5) sub sectors that have a value of > 1, for backward linkages the sector gets results where there are seven (7) sectors that have a value of > 1. This can be interpreted that the economic growth of West Sumatra is more influenced by the growth of the manufacturing sector and implies that the economic base of West Sumatra is currently based on the manufacturing sector.
