Abstract
Last.fm is online music catalogue with free music streaming, videos, photos, lyrics, charts, artist biographies, concerts, and internet. Object of this research is slang that used by Last.fm users. It focuses on type and meaning of slang. Purpose of this research are to describe type and meaning that occur in the Last.fm. On the findings, the writer found one type of slang- slang words (noun, verb, and adjective). Meanwhile in meaning discussion limited only on connotative meaning. Methode that used in this is comparative. The data are taken from Last.fm (www.last.fm.com) ; scrobble, home,l ibrary, neighbour, dan profil. Result of the research shows that forms and meanings have different and unique meaning from ordinary slang that created by Last.fm users itself. Type of slang consisted of music, lifestyle and fashion. Keyword: Sociolinguistic, Pragmatic, Language Style, Context, Slang
