Abstract

Biodiesel is used for main mixture into diesel fuel made from fossil. Biodiesel made from the reaction of Triolein from waste cooking oil and Methanol with catalyst of H2SO4 and NaOH which uses Esterification and Transesterification reaction. Reaction operate at temperature of 63oC and atmospheric pressure with conversion of 99%. The plant was built to produce Biodiesel with capacity of 32.867 Ton/year. The raw material were 30.000 Ton/year of Waste Cooking Oil and 868 kg/h of Methanol. The utilities required are 19,294.2120 kg/h of water,264.3699 kW of electricity, and 3.804 kg/h of diesel oil. Location of the plant would be established in Cikarang. It was planned to run of Perseroan Terbatas (PT) management with 87 employees. Total area is 4,5 ha with 0,5 ha of building area. The final result of economic analysis done in this plant shows that fixed capital needed by factory is Rp 402.074.949.551 while working capital is Rp 70.954.402.862 Profit before tax will reach Rp 136.528.406.941 and Rp119.462.356.074 after tax. Presentation of Return on Investment (ROI) 24,92% and. Pay Out Time (POT)5,58 years, Break Event Value Point (BEP) is 24,9% . Based on the economic analysis, this pre-designed Biodiesel Manufactory with a capacity of 30.000 Ton/year is feasible to be established.
