Abstract

Kenagarian Sungai Pinang is inhabited by residents who generally have the main livelihood of households as fishermen. Activities as fishermen are one of the jobs relied on by the community of the Sungai Pinang Nagari Koto XI Tarusan, where kenagarian is a potential area for producing fish. In general fishing activities are still relatively traditional and this has little impact because the infrastructure used in the sea has not shown progress. Based on the above, it is necessary to review the potential development of alternative livelihoods carried out by fishermen in increasing household economic incomes it is necessary to do research on "Analysis of Alternative Fisherman Livelihood Development in the Kenagarian River Pinang Coastal Tourism Area in South Peisir Regency" The business analysis processes the field finding data used by the method and formulation as follows: Benevit Cost / Ratio (BCR), Payback of Priod (PPC), Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) and As a development strategy analysis with using SWOT Analysis. The results of the analysis show that the value of the Benefit Cost Ratio for each business for the development of the next 5 years is 1.2 for cottage business, 3.4 for residential houses, 1.0 for tour boats, 2.1 for diving / Scuba rental. These figures indicate that the business is feasible and can be continued. For the development strategy (SWOT Analysis) a score of 5.19 (Strength and Opportunuity) is an opportunity for alternative livelihood businesses in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang to be greater by utilizing existing strengths.
