Abstract
English with the specific form and purpose are distinct from one another. English is a foreign language in some countries. The use of specific English in the country is very importantly needed. Therefore hotel as a part of tourism industry needs a satisfying service by the department. This research was conducted to reveal english expression used to serve foreign guest at hotel restaurant ,the pattern of the english expression used in serving the foreign guest, and the locally-colored hotel restaurant tourism English used by the waiters. The result of the data analysis showed that the most frequent expression is imperative expression. Offering the menu and giving information is activity that waiters used more. The results of locally colored obtained about food and drinks in Minangkabau language are the most numerous and after that is Java. The writer found 90 data which is the mostly
