Abstract

Hospitals are equipped with various facilities such as emergency rooms, intensive care units, inpatient care, and other supporting facilities, which are the main focus of the hospital. Solok City Regional Hospital is currently under construction and does not yet have empty rooms, one of which is the facility installation room that should be reserved for critical patients who require overnight hospitalization. This will help speed up service delivery and enable nurses and doctors to provide care using a qualitative approach based on a literature review of hospital books, interviews with medical staff and hospital agents, and mapping and presentation of hospital building locations. The research then analyzes the data and begins to formulate problems to draw descriptive conclusions. The facility building design considers aspects such as compliance with planning regulations, patient comfort, environmental considerations, and other aspects that support good design for facility users. The Solok City Hospital utilizes this architectural design method to create a facility building that provides benefits for users, such as medical personnel, patients, and patient visitors, as well as providing a comfortable building space for patients to speed up their recovery from illness
