Abstract

Prinsip Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Kolom Komentar Media Sosial Youtube Penulis • Rivo Raihan • Yetty Morelent • Romi Isnanda Abstrak Politeness principle is a relationship between two participants, known as 'self' and 'others' is commonly associated with politeness (Abdul Chaer, 2010: 64). The principle of politeness is a rule that must be obeyed and used in family, community, and social media. One of the popular social media in Indonesia is Youtube, using Youtube someone to get the freedom to obtain information. Youtube freedom given by the Government of Indonesia has been restricted by Law ITE (Information and Electronic Transaction). However, there are still some people who violate the linguistic politeness. This study will examine and describe the form of irregularities politeness in Youtube comments field. This study is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. This data was obtained from social media comments field Youtube channel CNN Indonesia on governance and development of Jakarta. Researchers took 50 comments from 10 videos and each video taken five commend. Researchers used a systematic sampling technique to retrieve the data. To test the validity of the data the researchers used a technique of triangulation. The data analysis was done by (1) compile the data into a table, (2) classifying the data, (3) describes the fault found, (4) to make a statement of results, and (5) to conclude the research. Based on the analysis of politeness in the comments field of social media on the Youtube channel CNN Indonesia. Of the 50 comments that were examined using language Politness principle of Abdul Chaer (2010), the researchers concluded there are still many irregularities politeness. Violation of the dominant linguistic politeness maxims are violated is tact, generosity maxims, sympathy maxims, and agreement maxims. Causes of the deviation politeness, because of dislike of someone, the controversial title that looks interesting, and economic factors. Of these factors can trigger warganet to criticize violently, emotionally unstable, accuse and discredit others. This is because of the flexibility provided by social media that make users become free to do anything. The Indonesian government, Google LLC, the owner of YouTube, and social media users should work together to reduce the level of irregularities politeness.
