Abstract

This research was conducted in June – July 2022, located in Nagari Koto Malintang, Lake Maninjau, and the Micro Laboratory of Bung Hatta University, West Sumatra. This research uses observation method. Analysis of the data in this study is descriptive analysis and the data is processed by calculating the prevalence and intensity using Microsoft excel. The results of the research on the identification of ectoparasites in freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) caught in Nagari Koto Malintang, Lake Maninjau, it can be concluded that of the 20 lobster samples observed, 10 lobsters were attacked by parasites, namely the antennae found parasites (Chilodonella sp.) Amyloido ocellatum). On the head (Caligus uniatus, Photograph Henneguya). The chest (I. multifilis) and the tail (Cichlidogyrus sp). with a prevalence value on the antennae (15%), swimming legs (10%), head (10) on the chest (10%), on the abdomen no parasite attacks were found and on the tail (5%).The intensity value of the 20 samples examined in the antenna section contained 3 of them being attacked by parasites, on the swimming legs, head, chest and belly of the lobster, 2 lobsters were found to be infected with the parasite in each of them. different samples.From all samples examined, the intensity value of parasite attack on freshwater crayfish in Lake Maninjau is less than 1% with low intensity category.
