Abstract

The television news presenter is the leading person in television appearances, whose tasks are: 1). guide a talk show in a single topic with a resource person and there may be several audience members. 2). guiding reporters in the field from the studio. The presenter of television news, claimed his ability to use journalistic language in processing news content, to be concise, concise, solid, orderly, and clearly in accordance with the rules of journalistic language.The ability of television news presenters to discuss each issue should be easily understood by all those who watch it. This study aims to determine the extent of the ability to use news journalistic news.The deviation is observed from the rules of journalistic language by using the characteristics of journalistic language according to John Hohenberg are consisting of five parts, namely: concise, brief, clear, orderly and interesting.The subject of the research was the local television broadcasting agency, Padang TV, with the broadcast program “Sumbar Rancak Bana” guided by the news presenter. The result of the research is exposure about the ability to use journalistic news journalist. Keywords: journalistic language, television news presenters, television broadcasters.
