Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research problem is the phenomenon of language diversion and errors that occur in a multilingual society caused by various factors. This study aims to describe the form and factors causing code switching and interference contained in the Youtube video blog. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with data sources in the form of 4 video blogs from the Daisuke Botak channel; Miyoshi Makoto ID X JP; and Erikacang. The data collection method in this study used the listening method with data collection techniques using note-taking techniques and free-involved-talk listening techniques. The data analysis method used is the distribution method and the data analysis technique used is the direct element technique. The results of the study found that there were 26 data analyzed, as many as 14 data in the form of exit code switching with the most common factors being the interlocutor's factor and the third person's factor. A total of 12 data are in the form of phonological interference caused by poor second language vocabulary mastery factors and the influence of the mother tongue.
