Abstract
The design of the typical embroidery craft building of Pariaman City with the concept of Neo Vernacular architecture aims to strengthen the local cultural identity while adapting modern elements that are in accordance with the times. Pariaman City, as an area with a rich cultural heritage, has embroidery crafts as one of the superior products that need to be promoted and preserved. The concept of Neo Vernacular architecture is used to create harmony between traditional and modern. This research explores the distinctive characteristics of embroidery crafts and traditional architecture of Pariaman City, then integrates them into functional and aesthetic building designs. Through this approach, it is expected to create a building that is not only a place for handicraft production, but also a landmark that represents the cultural identity of Pariaman City. Methods used include field surveys, literature studies, and design analysis. The result of this research is the design of embroidery craft buildings that combine traditional forms with modern touches, such as the use of environmentally friendly materials and renewable energy technology. In addition, this design also pays attention to comfort for craftsmen and visitors, by providing adequate open space and optimal natural lighting. It is hoped that this design can be an inspiration for the development of handicrafts and cultural tourism in Pariaman City and other areas that have similar potential. This effort is also expected to help in raising awareness of the importance of preserving local culture in sustainable development. Keywords: Embroidery Craft, Neo Vernacular Architecture, Cultural Identity, Pariaman
