Abstract

ABSTRACT Efforts to protect witnesses in the Criminal Procedure Code Article 173 of Law No. 13 In 2006 Jo 31, 2014 Article 10 paragraph (1) (2) (3), Article 8 (1) of the Witness and Victim Protection. Legal protection in the trial is the duty of law enforcement to provide security for the dignity of human beings living God on earth. In particular concerning rights is in itself a witness. In the case of corruption that occurred in the field of education empowerment project pariaman disadvantaged areas, in this case reveals the witness received threats and intimidation from the defendant, Problems in this paper are (1) How is legal protection of witnesses and victims in the case of Corruption? (2) what the constraints faced by witnesses in giving testimony at the trial of corruption in the District Court of Class IA Padang ?. The research approach used socio-legal. Sources of data derived from primary data and secondary data. The technique of collecting data using interviews and document study. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed (1) Implementation of the legal protection of witnesses in the District Court To the Class IA Padang. In accordance with the rules applicable legislation.
