Abstract
In the development of concrete technology, normal concrete has limitations in terms of workability and compaction, which can cause structural defects if not performed properly. Difficulties in casting structural elements with complex geometries and segregation and bleeding problems in high workability concrete. Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) comes as an innovation to improve construction efficiency and finish quality without the need for mechanical compaction. Therefore, admixtures are required that can optimally improve the performance of SCC. One of the admixtures is Sika Viscocrete 1003 which is a type of superplasticizer known to be effective in improving the performance of SCC and has high-range water reducer properties that allow concrete to still have high workability with lower water content. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of sika-viscocrerote 1003 on the compressive strength of SCC, the optimal percentage of sika-viscocrerote 1003 for maximum SCC compressive strength, and the flowability of sika-viscocrerote 1003. This research used experimental method by using 5 (five) variations of sika-viscocrerote 1003 dosage in SCC mixture, starting from 0%; 0.2%; 0.4%; 0.6%; and 0.7%. Based on the research results, the use of sika-viscocrerote 1003 with a variation of 0.2%-0.6% has an optimal effect on the compressive strength of SCC. The maximum concrete compressive strength test value with 0.6% variant is 48.54 Mpa. In the 0.6% variant also obtained.
