Abstract

Padang Sawah Road – Simp. Empat (N-021) is part of an upgraded cross section segment, also one of the entrances to Prov. West Sumatra to and from Prov. North Sumatra. One of the efforts to improve the road that is safe is to create a road that is functioning by improving the condition of the road itself. The research approach is a step to find the right method in conducting a research. This research was conducted to find out if padang swah-simp road. Four (N-021) have fulfilled aspects of the functioning of the road and how it is serviced to the community of road users. In this study, the authors conducted a direct-to-field method of technical requirements for the physical functioning of existing roads. From the surve results then we can get the data and collect the data in accordance with the technical requirements in the regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number: 11/PRT/M/2010 on the Procedures and Requirements of The Laik Function of the Road and Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 19/PRT/M/2011 on The Technical Requirements of Road and Technical Planning Performance. This processing process can be done by analyzing the data obtained in the field and comparing it with the existing laws or rules. The Category of Road Function on this section is entered into the category of "Conditional Function Laik" on the grounds of the condition of a road that meets some of the technical requirements of Laik Road Function as required but is still able to provide safety for road users. In terms of meeting technical requirements it can be road shoulder repair, adding signs especially on general pasilitas and widening bridges.
